With covid w/ pneumonia, is periodic pink-tinged mucus something to worry about?

It happens when you have inflammation of your respiratory tract, either viral or bacterial. It is more often if patient coughs a lot. In Covid-19 pneumonia, the most important prognostic sign is oxygenation. You are pretty safe if the pulse oximetry (SpO2) stays above 92% all the time without supplemental oxygen. Normal SpO2 is 98 +/- 2%.

The pink tinge may be related to inflammation of the lining of the airway. Other sources include nasal bleeding. Watch for signs of shortness of breath and respiratory difficulty. Rest, monitor breathing and temperature.
