I have a plate in my head from surgery and i bumped it working on my car right on the edge of the plate now once in a while it feels like a headache could i have damaged it?

Would seriously doubt you have damaged your cranial plate, but closed head trauma may trigger headaches. Do see your doctor and get this all evaluated, so you can have peace of mind.
