Why would a doctor decline a refill for metformin if youre prediabetic? did my sugar test go down? is that why? i was taking the 500mg 24hr tabs.im sending her a message on my patient portal too but i just wanted other opinions, is metformin bad?

It might be a simple reason -- such as it's been too long since your last office visit, and your doctor wants to examine you before refilling your prescription. Your doctor is the only one who can really answer your question.
