A member asked:

How would a person get pregnant from partial/subtotal hysterectomy? i read its rare but not impossible. how would something like that be possible? i thought a woman is closed up?

If by "partial or subtotal " hysterectomy, is meant that the cervix was preserved, and in addition, the ovaries were not, with ovulation, intra-abdominal pregnancy might be (rarely !) "possible", but only if an open passage remains from vaginal to abdominal location, through a still open cervical canal.
