I was using my water pik and had it at the highest pressure level when i accidentally pointed it towards myself and the water pressure hit my throat. should i be worried? i heard people can die from trauma to the larynx or trachea. i have no pain?

No harm, no foul. You seem to be OK, so no need to panic. Please, never set WaterPik higher than medium for best efficacy with least risk of tissue damage. Fill act half way or larger with room temperature water. Put the tip inside your mouth. Lean over the sink. Only then turn it on and let excess water fall into the sink. Keep tip inside our moth until all the water is used up.
