Influenza: Sounds like you have an acute respiratory infection making your asthma worse. If you have an asthma treatment plan this is the point where you shift into the yellow zone using bronchodilators to relieve asthma symptoms & increasing the dose of controller medications. Get some fluids & Ibuprofen on board, call in sick, get plenty of rest, and if things are not stabilizing call or see your doctor.

The flu: This constellation of symptoms is most suggestive of the flu. Get down to the doc and have a rapid flu test done . Might be worthwhile to take antiviral especially since you are asthmatic.
