A member asked:

If a male is infected with chlamydia, does ejaculating inside a woman make it quicker for the bacteria to travel to the upper genital tract like the uterus and tubes or does it only initially only infect the cervix first before it makes it higher?

Ejaculation or not makes no known difference in the chance that chlamydia will ascend to a woman's upper genital tract. The large majority of chlamydial infections in women involve the upper tract -- at least the uterus and often the Fallopian tubes -- regardless of symptoms of upper tract infection.
