Dunno, but it's : Something your doctor will want to evaluate. Did you have any trauma that seemed unimportant ? Have you had any fever? What relieves the pain & numbness? What movements exacerbate it ? Do you have scoliosis? Was onset gradual or sudden? These are questions your doctor will ask, along with performing a physical & neurological exam to decide if an MRI is needed to determine the cause.
