That number is mildly elevated but it is not uncommon. There is a condition called Gilbert syndrome, more often in Caucasian, with high total bilirubin with fasting blood test. If the level was normal before with fasting blood test, you can have it checked again but this time both total bilirubin and direct bilirubin should be done. Stomach problem and Omeprazole do not affect bilirubin level.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your level is minimally elevated and may be your normal. If the result is stable on repeat testing, you may ignore it. Wish you good health!
