A member asked:

My alp recently was 128, marked as high. the top end of the range given was 117. bilirubin was normal at 1, alt 33, and ast 26. is the alp a concern?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Your ALP is just above normal. About 2.5% of normal people will have a value just above normal. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
