Supplemental dose of 65 mg elemental iron is not too much but it may be unnecessary unless you are iron deficiency. Iron can make you more constipated which is frequently seen in pregnancy.

No. It is an appropriate amount. If you get constipation - You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods.
