But so much sugar: Cereals are fortified with many nutrients that make them seem almost too good to be true...And perhaps they are. Sugary cereals like the frosted ones are packed with sugars, leading to short-term energy, but little lasting energy or nutritional value. If your doctor says your child needs extra iron for some reason, talk to them about how much is enough and see if a different supplement will work.
