Assuming your renal function is normal and you have not had a problem with high blood K in the past probably no problem. But if it is a problem can kill you. Discuss with your Dr who knows the details. Most with HTN should be on the DASH eating plan which lowers BP as well as most single meds but everyone is different. Discuss. I agree with Dr. Grim's advices. Potassium content in MVI is negligible but the amount of K in orange juice and low sodium soup with substituted salt (KCl) are significant. However, if your kidney function is normal or near normal and K level when taking Losartan is less than 4.5, you should be fine. When K is above 4.8, you should avoid salt substitute.
