Im done with my 14 day quarantine after having my first symptoms of covid. i feel a lot better just a mild cough. is that normal? can i leave my quarantine?

Yes, provided one observes all the other precautions par CDC Directives. A visit to the PCP for Physical Exam and listening to the chest to make sure the cough does not evolve to long term problem will be prudent.

Mild cough is normal after all viral respiratory illnesses which include Covid-19 infection. That cough may stay with you for 1 or 2 more weeks but it should be less and less. If cough gets worse or you have more phlegm, fever or chest pain, you should see your doctor for possible bacterial superinfection. Yes, you are free from quarantine by CDC criteria.

Continue to wear a mask, avoid crowds,use social distancing. A Flu vaccination is recommended. A COVID-19 vaccination may be administered in 1 week. Watch for shortness of breath and prolonged cough.
