A 28-year-old female asked:
Hard lump on skull (tip of mastoid bone) directly behind earlobe. hard, immobile, rice-pea size. had ultrasound which did not show anything, they said was not a lymph node. what else could this be? having a lot of anxiety over this?

It may be part of the mastoid bone. You may feel the "lump" every couple of weeks, if the lumps doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other lumps appear, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
