I prefer Covid-19 antigen test if possible. If test is (+), you will not need a booster. If test is (-), you can have your booster dose when upper respiratory symptoms resolve completely, likely after 5 days. If you do not want to be tested, you should wait until the URI symptoms resolve.

Most likely you have a viral infection. COVID-19 screening is recommended. Discuss Flu and COVID-19 vaccination with your physician. A booster is recommended and may be administered, but if you don't feel well, then it is fine to wait until you recover.If this is a COVID-19 infection, wait two months for the vaccination. Drink soothing fluids,rest, monitor temperature and breathing.
