A member asked:

Kindly asking regarding the psma pet scan after prostectomy for pca is it possible to do it at psa level of 0.027 or less than 0.1 ng /ml or is better to do it after the conformation of biochemical recurrence e.g psa 0.2 or more on serial assays ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PSMA PET scan is a costly test and not easily available. We can help you further but need to know the dates of prostatectomy and the serial PSA results done over the last one year. Unless the PSA is 0.2 ng or more, you can wait to do a PET scan..
