My husband is in 4 weeks of healing from detached retinal surgery and he feels better wearing an eye patch when he watches television is this okay for him to do? thanks?

Yes it is ok, since the vision in the post op eye may be interferring with the vision in the unaffected eye.

Wearing an eyepatch is not going to enhance or hinder the healing of the retinal detachment. At some point, depending upon what his vision is like, he is going to need to start using both eyes to try to establish binocularity. The best thing is to talk with his surgeon.
