Hello my dad just had surgery for a detached retina i have a physical disability, when he recovers can he lift me or will it cause more damage to eye?

Depends: The surgery will re-attach the retina, usually very strongly. Was the detachment spontaneous or related to other surgery on the eye, trauma or diabetes. These may alter the risk of strain from lifting. Check with the retinal surgeon about when this will be safe.
