Ive had a high ankle sprain since aug 2021 and my ankle is still sore and i have to wear my air walking boot, my x-ray revealed no break in bone. how long until im pain free ?

High ankle sprains involves the anterior tibia-fibula ligament. This type of sprain requires very aggressive treatment immobilizing for a minimum of 4 weeks. I would immobilize on crutches for 4-5 weeks and re-evaluate at that time When you bear weight the talus helps to separate the bones . If this fails surgical consideration will be needed.
