Rashes are quite difficult to sort out without an exam. This could be something simple like a reaction to something that touched the skin or the result of a viral infection. If it is bothersome or persistent i would have your pcp look at it.

An itchy rash may respond to a pediatric antihistamine. An allergic or contact dermatitis are likely causes in the absence of fever. Watch for shortness of breath, wheezing and cough. Please discuss with your physician. Note possible triggers such as a new lotion or clothing shortly prior to the onset.
