I have been taking doxycyline for 5 days for chlamydia already. most doses have been taken with food excpet for 2. does this make it less effective and will i have to retake since i been taking it with food?

This may depend no exactly which doxycycline you are taking and other meds you are taking. Go to Drugs.com and enter all you are taking to see effect they have on each other and if eating will change that. Also depends on what you eat. eg no grapefruit and its juice if o a statin.

Doxycycline can be taken with or without food. There has never been a proved case of failure of chlamydia to be cured with 7 days doxycycline, taken twice daily -- regardless of food or anything else. Just finish your last two days, then no worries!
