My hgb a1c is 5.6 >standard range is 5.6, estimated average glucose is 114 mg/dl with a standard range of 85-126 mg/dl. is this cause for concern at all? i was 5.5 back in 2013, and have been up and down with it. thanks?

Hemoglobin A1c of less than 5.7 as normal. There is nothing more to do now than check it yearly.

If you are maintaining your weight near expected and are physically active and there is no significant history of diabetes in the family, there is no reason to be concerned about diabetes. You are not even Prediabetic. It is important to eat healthy, home cooked meals. Incorporate fruits and vegetables in the diet. At this time, leave diabetes out of your list to worry. Hope it helps.
