Ok so on behalf of my friend he was cleaning his ears with a cotton wool stick and it snapped in his ear, we got it out but, nothing to go right in can it because the ear canal blocks it?

Your friend should not put anything into the ear canal. If there is a blocked ear canal due to earwax, see a doctor-the doctor can see what needs to be removed and can then remove it safely. If there is a foreign body in the ear canal, it can be removed in the same way. So, your friend needs to see a doctor to have the ear canal examined and cleaned out, if needed.
