Yes, it is enough if you are treated just for chlamydia and you are not very sick clinically.

Probably it usually would work OK. However, many or most cases of chlamydial PID also include secondary infection with mixtures of bacteria from the vagina. Therefore, the standard recommendation (e.g. from CDC) is treatment with drub combinations, usually doxycycline plus metronidazole. And if gonorrhea has not been excluded by a negative lab test, an initial injection of ceftriaxone.

Im confused by answers on previous questions; if the chlamydia caused PID, does it mean that 7 days of doxycycline would have been enough to cure PID? Why do several sources recommend 14 days of doxy in combination with other drug to cure PID?
My apologies for the earlier confusion. So the 14 days of only doxycycline 2dd should have cured PID caused by chlamydia, even though I had no other type of antibiotics in addition to the doxy?
Didnt have pid but ogbyn gave a second 7 day dose of doxycycline so woukd a 14 day dose of doxycycline and a rocephin shot cure gonarrhea & chlamydia. Even if its your second time having chlamydia?
Would a 14 day dose of doxycycline clear chlamydia and rocephin shot for gonarrhea? Or could I still have it? even if I havent had sexual interaction since Ive finished the treatment? No pid?
