You make the right diagnosis by yourself. I would suggest you can either work with a different chair or get out of the chair every hour and do lower body exercise for 5-10 minutes.

This condition, called meralgia paresthetica, is caused by pinching the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve at the level of the groin. It's not serious. It's common in overweight people who do a lot of sitting such as truck drivers. It may resolve if the nerve gets uncompressed.Meds&corticosteroid injections can help if you wish to pursue it by seeing a neurologist or neurosurgeon
