A member asked:

Regarding hormonal therapy for prostate ca following prostectomy (salvage therapy) which is better intermittent or continuous therapy regarding side effects, overall outcomes and killing of remaining ca cells using lhrh agonist as zoladex ;goserelin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

There have been similar good results with both and both methods are used. Intermittent RX causes less adverse side effects. Overall results depend on many other things e.g. biopsy report , rate of PSA rise etc. Drugs you mention are equivalent in Rx. There are some newer ones out including a pill. Stay under care of your Uro. Good health to you.
