Cardiologists assess the health & render appropriate treatments of the entire cardiovascular system as well as concentrating on the cardiac status. Depending upon the symptoms and physical findings certain tests are performed such as EKG,echocardiogram, treadmill stress tests,cardiac catheterization. Subspecialists study& treat complex arrhythmias, insert stents in blocked coronary arteries.

The main clinical activities are evaluation of symptoms to detect heart disease, interpret findings on examination to confirm the presence or absence of abnormalities in heart function, interpret special studies such as ECG, Echo, catheterization data and assess the effectivesness of medications etc.
