Hi, ive had a bump under my armpit for about 2 years which started of really hard and the bump has got bigger and very sore around the area and it seems to be a bit softer, can this be a ingrowing hair ? thank you?

Hard to know. The location has odor glands, lymph nodes and hair follicles with glands. All of these structures can be invaded by germs that cause an abscess. For it to be there that long I would suspect a lymph gland. An exam would sort out what it is and how to treat it.

If it has grown and it hurts, it may be infected. Have it looked at by a doctor, to determine if you need antibiotics or incision to drain its contents.
