Tetanus spores are everywhere in nature and often found in soil, reputable company or not. Any opening in the skin can become contaminated with tetanus spores, lead to tetanus germ growth and eventually produce the toxin that causes tetanus. If you cleaned the area well enough that infection does not start, you will be fine. If no booster in 10 yrs it would be a good time to get one.

Soil is a region where we actually do find tetanus. If the wound is large and dirty you may need Igg for tetanus
