Covid-19 needs moisture &cool/cold environment to survive. According to the 2020 Covid-19 Education: "If it drops on a metal surface, it will live for at least 12hrs- so if you come in contact with any metal surface- wash hands as soon as you can w bacterial soap On fabric it can survive 6-12 hrs. normal laundry detergent will kill it.Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. COVID can last several hours on copper surfaces but not in food .It can last about 24 hours on cardboard and up to three days on plastic and steel surfaces .A cough in air lasts about three hours as an aerosol.
