There are reports that nexium (taken for acid reflux) can potentially cause kidney problems. are there also similar concerns about pepcid?

You're correct in that for past few years there have been concerns about kidney problems from chronic use of ppi meds like nexium, but pepcid is in another class of meds & I haven't heard about an y problems with kidney diseases from its long-term use. Your pharmacist may have more information about this matter though.
