When taking clindamycin, how soon after starting the medication would any side effects typically start? would it be after your first dose or after multiple doses?

Most people take clindamycin with no side effects. When they occur, the main one is diarrhea, which usually would begin after taking the drug for a few days. Mild diarrhea isn't serious, but if severe diarrhea (e.g. with cramping) or if any blood, stop the drug immediately and contact the doctor who prescribed it.
