I'm taking clindamycin for an infection on my face. 3 capsules 3 times a day for 5 days 150mg yesterday after my first dose my body started itching. no rashes but it itches i'm afraid to take benadryl since i'm breastfeeding my 4 month old daughter. ?

Benadryl safe: Benadryl is safe to use while breastfeeding although it may decrease the volume of breastmilk produced. However you should contact your doctor who prescribed the clindamycin and let them know you are itching. You may need to stop the clindamycin and switch to another antibiotic.
