A member asked:

The inner corner of my sclera that should be white pinkish is starting to look opaque and darker.i haven't seen this on anyone else, but doctor says it's normal. could this be cancer? picture here: https://ibb.co/ytj9r17 thanks?

If your doc wasn't at all concerned that this was a suspicious eye lesion, then the explanation of the darkening being related to your skin color is very reasonable. If you still have concerns, consult an ophthalmologist for evaluation and advice.

If it's stable and not changing, then it is probably a normal variation in pigmentation (melanosis). However, if it is not stable and the lesion is enlarging or changing color, I would suggest reconsulting an ophthalmologist to rule out inflammatory or malignant causes.
