A member asked:

How do blood clots form in your brain without any type of head trauma? are bilateral craniotomy & bifrontal craniotomy the same thing ? if not what is the difference?

Abnormal clotting of the blood in the body can cause clots in the brain circulation as can aneurysms and other causes. Bilateral means on both sides and frontal means in the frontal bone (in front)

Abnormalities in blood vessels, e.g., atherosclerotic plaques, aneurysms, and increased coagulability of blood can result in blood clots in the brain without trauma. Trauma is rarely a cause of clots in the brain. Bilateral involves both sides. Bifrontal means both frontal areas. Get HPV, Flu and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
