My mom was in a car accident about 2 yrs ago. she had to have a shunt put in her head to relieve fluid. now she has blood clots on brain. prognosis?

Depends: It very much depends where and for how long the "blood clots" have been present. If they developed as a result of the accident her prognosis is pretty much the same as it was at the time of her injury....if new ..they could affect the outlook. Have a "long talk" with her caregvers. Tell them about your concerns and have the rest of the family there! Good Luck in a tough situation Hope this helps
