It is too early to tell. You just watch the symptoms for now. If the symptoms persists and get worse for another 48 hours, you can see a doctor by then. Mastitis is top of the problem list if symptoms persist. You should not concern about inflammatory breast cancer which does not behave that way.

Since weaning my son 6 months ago, I have had lingering breast pain that feels almost like mastitis but never worsens. It comes and goes. No lumps, redness, warmth, or discharge. Some days it hurts under my arm as well, but the pain is not constant.
Impingement of L shoulder, Raised armpit lump on L arm, pain, ache down arm. Sometimes numb/tingles. Left breast feels much softer than right this AM and maybe warmer? CBC came back normal. Worried about Inflammatory cancer. Have small child, scared?
