Chronic epididymitis is not a common condition and pain in the area can be due to many causes. Many times pain in the area is from a small cyst or other causes. If you have no swelling in the area wear a good supporting underwear. If the pain persists see a Urologist who will get an Ultrasound to help diagnose your problem. I think with proper support you will be fine.
