Not for a colonoscopy only. In case you are having both upper endoscopy and colonoscopy removing the mouth piercing will be a good idea.

sometimes yes. If they sedate U for the colonoscopy. They may need to place an airway to help you breathe. Also, colonoscopies, use electrocautery. Usually they do not want you to have metal that could conduct electricity in your body because u may get a burn
