Well, I do not have access to the actual films. It is small (1cm or 10 mm is largest part measured.) He is concerned about the possibility of cancer, or possibly infection. I expect he will likely ask for a biopsy of the tissue. Some places also do PET CT scan, which sometimes can determine if area is likely to be cancer. Ultimately you will need obtain tissue from lesion examined.
