I have been diagnosed with pneumonia, i am taking levaquin, but it doesnt seem to be working. my cough is bad i am coughing up mucus. the cough is so bad that at times i cant catch my breath, and i dry heave. not tired or exhausted?

Screening for COVID 19 and a chest image is recommended. If you can provide a sample for culture, this will help to determine the best treatment. Adding a other antibiotic may be indicated, please follow up with your physician.

If you have community acquired pneumonia, levaquin is effective against the usual culprit bacteria & atypical pneumonia as well. Your xray findings would be helpful here. You don't mention whether you have fever, chest pain,discolored sputum as seen in persistent pneumonia or whether a followup chest x-ray showed any changes. As mentioned, it's best to continue followup with your MD who knows this
