Tegretol (carbamazepine) is an archaic drug, which has been largely displaced by safer and effective drugs. The side effects are often secondary to dosing level, and blood studies can objectify whether in therapeutic range. This could be adjusted downward if toxic. But if in therapeutic range, find an alternative medication.
