What can cause chest pain on the left side when ekg and bloodwork are normal?

The stomach entrance is located just behind your heart and to the left of center. "Heartburn" from acid reflux is the most common trigger for chest pain at your age. Antacids & PPI's available OTC can help. Pain within the joint of the breast bone can also trigger chest pain.

A normal ECG and bloodwork do not entirely rule out a cardiac problem. A detailed history and review of risk factors and a careful examination including palpation of the chest and the precordium may help exclude cardiac source of chest pain.
