Suspect the number you mentioned is the percentage of lymphocytes, not the actual number.The absolute number is always to be considered since it represents the actual number of lymphocytes. The ratio is calculated by dividing absolute number of specific subsets of white blood cells or leukocytes to the total number of leukocytes and it can be deceiving.
