Travel insurance medical questionnaire asks if you have an enlarged artery greater than 4.5 cm? is this a fair question for a 70 y/o male who works out regularly in weights and endurance?

I presume they are talking about the Aorta the largest artery in the body which is behind the intestines and goes up to the heart in the chest and if it is wider it is called an aneurysm which needs to be checked. It is good that you do exercise but have your MD check your Aorta

It is safe for the travel insurance to ask as complications related to an aortic aneurysm may become extremely expensive if addressed in a hospital and/or result in insured’s death. Insurance companies are not aware of your lifestyle, there may be questions regarding smoking and exercise sometimes.
