Unfortunately we would need more information to answer your question. Where is the infection and what type of bacteria is causing it? Some infections require surgical treatment and others can be with resistant bacteria. Best to follow up with your doc, have the infection cultured and then tailor treatment to that specific organism.

I agree with Dr.M's advice. Has a bacterial infection been documented by appropriate testing? Perhaps you may not have a bacterial infection but have a as yet unidentified chronic noninfectious inflammatory disorder. I recommend consulting a specialist in infectious diseases to direct a workup.
