Best is to obtain a serum HCG test to make certain the pregnancy was entirely removed. Placental tissue can be retained as well, with light bleeding , but if the abortive process was successful the HCG will be negative, however a D&C may still be done to remove retained tissue. Ask your GYN for guidance.

If a home pregnancy test is negative, then it is unlikely that there are any retained tissues. The timing is right for the return of your period, and the first one after the procedure could be light.
