Needs evaluation: Irregular periods and bleeding are very common. Your doctor needs to assess you with an exam and sonogram to determine what might be going on. Bleeding after a procedure like a D and C / abortion is often best evaluated by a sonohystogram or a hysteroscopy to better evaluate the uterine cavity.
