I've been having a heaviness feeling in my head ever since i started taking crestor two months ago. whenever i take estazolam, the feeling disappears almost immediately. should i take a ct scan of my brain to see if there might be any abnormalities?

Talk to your prescriber about this unusual adverse effect that seems to be related to taking Crestor. Consider a different medication for your cholesterol (there are several). Not ideal to take a benzodiazepine to treat an ongoing symptom since this may become addictive. CT scans are a wonderful tool when absolutely necessary, but carry their own risks and best avoided if not necessary.

You need to see your primary care: then maybe the two of ou to workout a trial of going off Crestor for 2 weeks to see what happens, The if greed, a trial restarting Crestor to see what happens. I generally recommend physical therapy of the head and neck for headaches. HRS, MD, FACC
